XLRI Jamshedpur Admission Committee Welcomes 429 Students to 2025–27 Batch in its Flagship Management Programs
This year the students are enrolled in all four flagship programs of XLRI:
215 students in PGDM in Business Management (BM)
180 students in PGDM in Human Resource Management (HRM)
14 students in PGDM in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSCM) offered as a dual degree with Rutgers University (USA)
20 students in Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
Fr. (Dr.) Sebastian George S.J. Director of XLRI spoke to the students with an inspirational address. He urged them to be responsible, look out for each other and remain focused particularly on studies. He warned students about embracing their flaws, knowing their strengths and avoiding unnecessary distractions. He emphasised the need to remain flexible and continuously learn throughout one's life urging students to not just solve problems but also know how to handle more sophisticated problems using maturity and ethics.
The ceremony comprised a significant interfaith prayer service officiated by the Dean of Finance and Administartion Fr. Donald D'Silva, S.J. and Dr. Sanjay Patro who is the Dean of Academics. The service had readings from the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Guru Granth Sahib and Quran as XLRI stands for inclusivity, ethical roots and spiritual wisdom.
To help students feel connected to the institution's values the ceremony also included a heritage video presentation outlining XLRI’s legacy and vision for the future. New students engaged in mentor-led interaction sessions to build early relationships reflect on shared goals and start their journey with a strong sense of belonging something XLRI prides itself on.
