IIM Ahmedabad Honours 10 Young Alumni for Exemplary Work

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) identified its 10 younger alumni under the age of 45 years with the Young Alumni Achiever's Awards (YAAA) 2025. The awards recognise their exceptional contribution in corporate leadership, public service, arts, entertainment and sports. It was the 10th annual event of the awards which started for the first time in 2015.

The award ceremony was conducted on the campus of IIM Ahmedabad and was attended by students, faculty and members of the IIMA community. The awards were conferred by Prof. Bharat Bhasker who is the director of IIMA and Prof. Sunil Maheshwari the Dean of Alumni and External Relations.

Award Winners in Corporate Leadership

  • Hemant Mundra – MD of Warburg Pincus.

  • Rohan Suri – MD of KKR & Co. Inc.

  • Saurabh Chandra – Partner at EY.

  • Ashish Lakhotia – CEO of Fertiliser and Agri Inputs, ETG Group.

  • Sudipto Sannigrahi – Managing Director at Z47.

These award winners have done an outstanding work in areas like private equity, finance, venture capital and agriculture-based businesses.

Award Winners in Social or Public Service

  • Ramyakumar Bhatt – Deputy Commissioner in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was awarded for enhancing public services and governance.

  • Chhavi Moodgal – CEO of IIMA Endowment Fund was awarded for her fundraising efforts and contributions to the institute.

Award Winners in Arts and Entertainment

  • Aditi Krishnakumar – Writer

  • Anupama Muthukrishnan Devarajan – Carnatic singer and Bharatanatyam dancer

  • Ankur Garg – Bollywood filmmaker

Prof. Bharat Bhasker the Director of IIMA congratulated the winners and stated that their success speaks volumes about the institute's passion for excellence, leadership and bringing positive change to society. He further stated that these young alumni are not only successful professionals but also changemakers who are going to shape the future.
