The Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council now includes Professor Pulak Ghosh of IIM Bangalore

Prof. Ghosh is a data scientist and economist who applies digital technology and data to discover solutions that enhance human lives, increase productivity and aid economic growth.

His research interests span topics such as artificial intelligence, big data, fintech, financial behaviour, sustainability and development economics. His work has appeared in leading international journals and has been quoted by the World Bank, RBI, Government of India and other industry experts.

He is also very much engaged in policy formulation, advising NITI Aayog and other governmental institutions. His new designation at the EAC-PM will enable him to further contribute to India's economic strategy through evidence-based decision-making.
