The Indian  Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recently announced that IIFT will have its new campus in Dubai, UAE. IIFT will be the second Indian management institution to do so, the first one is IIM Ahmedabad. This move fully supports the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s goal to make Indian Higher Education global. Since the inception of the institution in 1963, this is going to be the institute's first campus outside India. 

IIFT’s Dubai campus has received official approvals from the University Grant Commission (UGC), the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of External Affairs. This new campus of IIFT in Dubai will provide the same high-quality and standard education to management aspirants globally. The Ministry stated that this new campus IIFT will cater education not only to internal students but also to Indian students of the region. 

IIFT is currently running its campuses efficiently in Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinanda. It offers various postgraduate, executive and doctoral programs in areas such as international business, Trade policy and economics. Admission into these programs is either through the CAT entrance test or the IIFT MBA test which will be followed by the GD rounds and personal interviews. 

IIFT Vice Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi stated that the Dubai campus will uphold the institute's high standards of academics and emerge as a centre of international business education. He further added that this move is a part of India's broader vision of integrating education with global alliances.
