The release is a part of AICTE's initiative called E-Kumbh which encourages translation of higher education program content into several Indian languages. Based on AICTE's AI-powered translation software ‘Anuvadini’ IGNOU has been able to localise its MBA syllabus for the students who prefer to study the program in their mother tongue.

In a big drive for inclusive education IGNOU also intends to increase its MBA offerings to 10 more Indian languages in the near future increasing access to higher education even further beyond language barriers.

The ceremonial launch of IGNOU's MBA programs in Hindi and Odia was held on Monday, the 2nd June 2025. It was a landmark move towards providing management education in local languages. Guests of honor included Shri Vineet Joshi, IAS, Department Secretary, Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India; Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Prof. Uma Kanjilal, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU. Their attendance was crucial as it emphasised the importance of providing multilingual education and inclusive learning opportunities across the country.
