Harvard Business Publishing and Chandigarh University signed a MOU to provide online MBA and BBA programs based on global case studies.
Significantly, HBPE is a leading global business education company providing high-quality business education teaching and learning materials that foster critical thinking, business skills and leadership capacities through preparation in case studies and simulation-based (experiential) learning where they act out roles and make choices in dynamic business environments.
Harvard Business Publishing Education and Chandigarh University Online have collaborated to bring case-based learning, simulations, and the Harvard ManageMentor program. The MoU was exchanged by Gabriela Allmi, Senior Director of Global EMEA and Asia Pacific, Harvard Business Publishing and Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University. Dviwesh Mehta, Director of Middle East & South Asia, Higher Education and Dr Gurpreet Singh, Director of Chandigarh University Online were also present at the event.
With this collaboration, Chandigarh University's students of Online MBA and BBA will be able to use more than 30,000 Harvard Business Publishing case studies and learn via business simulations that enhance real-world decision-making abilities.
Eight online degree programs offered by CU Online had access to take ten skill-based certification courses (6 months) provided by Harvard Business Publishing Education under the Harvard ManageMentor Module program. Some of the topics included in these courses are innovation and creativity, strategy planning and implementation, writing business plans, measuring performance, diversity, inclusion and belonging, making decisions, work and ethics, presenting, managing teams and digital intelligence.
Interestingly, the HMM program includes a series of classes that aim to equip students with the competencies that employers seek in the current labour market. Of the 15,505 students studying in Chandigarh University Online, 12,136 have joined these courses to date and 1,000 students have already completed these 10 certification courses. There will be no extra expenses for the students to study these courses. A maximum of 27 students who completed the HMM certification courses were awarded certificates by the dignitaries present during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
