Fortune Institute of International Business hosts the 29th Annual Convocation Ceremony on May 15, 2025

The 29th Annual Convocation ceremony of the Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) took place on May 15, 2025 for the batch of 2025. This convocation ceremony was for the graduating PGDM, PGDM-FM (Finance Management ) and EFPM (Executive Doctorate) students. The convocation ceremony took place at the Ph.D chambers at R.K. Puram.

Distinguished guests, including Mr. Deepak Singh (Guest of Honour), who is the AVP of Protiviti Business Consulting. Other important guests included Mr. Naavdeep Singh Mehram, VP-CSR & Sustainability, DIAGEO India and an accomplished FIIB alumnus and Mr. Satish Upadhyay, MLA, Delhi Legislative Assembly and Former President. Delhi State BJP. 

This year's graduating class showed quality and diversity in professional success with over 90% of the class now placed at 121 recognized firms. Some of the most represented industries include Financial Services (42%), Technology & Digital (23%), and Consumer Goods (13%). Prominent recruiters across these sectors included EY, Deloitte, ICICI Lombard, Piramal, Wipro–Blackstone COE, Hindustan Unilever and Grant Thornton.

The convocation ceremony highlighted the batch’s achievements related to the student-led research, global case competitions and PRIME regional leadership. This reflected a balance of academic excellence and social responsibility. 



Radhika Shrivastava, President and CEO of FIIB, congratulated the graduating class and she quoted-  “Congratulations to the Class of 2025! As we celebrate this important milestone, it’s clear that the world you are stepping into is more complex and divided than ever. But that’s exactly why the education you received at FIIB matters. You haven’t just earned a degree—you’ve been prepared to lead in uncertain times. The world needs principled leaders who choose dialogue over division, rise with courage, lead with empathy, and solve with integrity. I am confident that each of you will rise to this challenge and make a meaningful impact.”

While addressing the students, Mr. Deepak Singh, AVP, Protiviti Business Consulting, directed students’ attention towards using the knowledge in driving actions in the dynamic business world. He quoted- “the importance of translating knowledge into impactful action in today’s dynamic business environment. He said, “In today’s fast-evolving business landscape, knowledge is only the beginning—what sets leaders apart is the courage to apply it meaningfully. My message to the graduating cohort is to stay curious, stay grounded, and lead with integrity. The world doesn’t just need managers—it needs change-makers.”

Mr. Navdeep Singh, Vice President – CSR & Sustainability, DIAGEO India – Distinguished Alumnus, reflected on the role of purpose and values in building meaningful careers. He said, “Coming back to FIIB as an alumnus is both nostalgic and inspiring. The foundation I built here empowered my journey in driving sustainability and purpose-led growth. To the graduates: embrace complexity, lead with empathy, and never lose sight of the impact your work can create in society.”

Mr. Satish Upadhyay, MLA, Delhi Legislative Assembly, and Former President – Delhi State BJP, spoke about the important role of education in nation-building and the responsibility that comes with it. He said “Educational institutions like FIIB are not just nurturing future professionals—they are shaping responsible citizens. I commend the institute for instilling values of excellence and ethics. As you step into the world, remember that true success lies in contributing to the greater good.” 

As graduates and their loved ones reunited to celebrate the culmination of years of academic dedication and the beginning of new professional careers, the event was one of celebration and pride.

The traditional cap toss, which signified the end of the ceremony, symbolized the graduates' readiness to encounter the challenges and opportunities that come with the future.
