The MoU was established in the presence of CHRO of Fortis Healthcare Mr. Ranjan Pandey the Managing Director and CEO of Fortis Healthcare Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi and Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, Dr. Vinita Sahay. Chairperson of IIM Bodh Gaya's MBA (HHM) course, Dr. Swapnarag Swain, emphasised the MoU's threefold objective.

As part of the association IIM Bodh Gaya and Fortis shall co-curate training programs and organise events like healthcare management conclaves, round table meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences to enhance knowledge sharing, innovation and deliberation on hospital and healthcare management subjects.

The full time two year MBA program in Hospital and Healthcare Management was commenced in IIM Bodh Gaya in 2023. The course is designed to give an in depth knowledge of the healthcare business and to develop managerial talent in terms of being industry ready in fields like large corporate hospitals, public health, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health and healthcare consultancy.
