IIM Indore Mumbai Launches 23rd PGPMX Batch
In his address, Prof. Rai urged the participants to remain open-minded and maximise their learning experience both from faculty and fellow students and alumni. He mentioned the need for self-awareness, time management and staying true to one's interests. He told them to prioritise what is most important to them individually since passion-driven work can form good character and enduring success. He also emphasised the importance of being compassionate towards oneself, refraining from unnecessary comparisons and remaining faithful to one's own aspirations rather than pursuing others' expectations.
Prof. Rai also talked about achieving success despite the fear of failure emphasising that success is not solely the result of hard work but also demands grit, patience and resilience. He asked the participants to network extensively and meet individuals from diverse backgrounds claiming that such broad-based interactions foster empathetic and flexible leaders.
Prof. Vachhrajani greeted the new batch and congratulated them on embarking on a meaningful journey towards personal and professional development. He illustrated how the PGPMX program is structured to enable professionals to work and study at the same time, attending classes on alternate weekends. This format enables them to implement what they have learned in the classroom in actual job settings immediately.
The new group consists of 24 seasoned professionals from diverse industries such as banking, IT, pharma, consulting, telecom, manufacturing, education, media, public sector and sports administration. They are 35 years old on average, and they have 10.8 years of work experience on average. They are AVPs, General Managers, Project Managers, Consultants, and Engineers among other mid to senior-level professionals. The cohort is also spread across the geography with participants from Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Chandigarh and West Bengal.
This blend of experience, sector backgrounds and regional diversity is anticipated to produce valuable peer learning opportunities and lively discussions during the program.
